I was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in the hills of Helotes. As a child, drawing was an outlet that came naturally. One of my greatest influences & inspirations was my Grandmother, Nellie Buel – award winning printmaker and artist. She shared her skills as an artist as well as teaching the dynamics in basic drawing, painting and mastered techniques in printmaking. The lessons were valuable to me and still are today. But it wasn’t till I began taking art classes at San Antonio College and frequented my Grandmothers studio as a young adult that I would take this trade in a more serious light. Over the past 20 years I have exhibited some works of art in local museums and businesses. Since then I have been pursuing a business in photography. It has become one of my favorite ways to express creatively through images, making memorable keepsakes and abstractions. I’m honored to have received two awards exhibited at the San Antonio Art League Museum and enjoy entering shows for the sport and prestige. Currently, I’m taking a workshop in digital photography and imaging at the Majestic Ranch Arts Foundation.
